Perplexity searches the live web and cites sources. A researcher still sets the question, checks the sources, and decides what matters to the deal.
Pro Search investigates the question.
Pro Search returns a Perplexity report. The report does not attach outside context to the company, contact, or deal record.
Outside research reaches live state.
Resolved company, contact, and deal context reaches Perplexity before the search starts, grounding the research question in live account state.
Research mode
A research plan becomes a structured report.
Research mode searches, reads, and synthesises sources into a report. The researcher still reviews the citations and decides which finding should change the plan.
Research reasons through selected sources.
Perplexity's report is a finished Perplexity answer. The report does not learn whether the finding held up in the deal that followed.
Next questions learn from outcomes.
